Jo McGinley is a sought-after coach who builds highly effective individual and team communicators. She inspires seasoned corporate executives and emerging business and nonprofit leaders to find their authentic voices and connect with listeners in every conversation.

With over 30 years of experience, Jo combines theatrical training, the most current brain research, improvisational exercises, and voice and speech coaching to create a unique and powerful experience for every client. Each lesson or workshop is tailored for the individual to help each person become a more confident and effective communicator.

Jo has coached Peak Performers, including Olympic Athletes and their coaches, musicians, Oscar Nominees, and leaders in healthcare, tech, and financial services to improve performance and increase communication confidence.

She has also been a guest instructor in the Grad programs at Princeton University, the USF School of Business, and the Harvard Innovation Lab (iLab). In addition, she is a speaking coach for data science teams, engineers, marketers, R&D, and architects, helping them better communicate the stories that will launch their early products into the market.

Jo is considered a pioneer in narrative improvisation. Her book “Going Long” will be published by Rowman and Littlefield Publishing Group, Inc., in November 2024. She has developed and mentored this art form worldwide.

What’s Next

When you hire me as your speaking coach, whether in a 2-day intensive or 1:1 session, you benefit from my 30 + years of experience. You will learn how to connect with minds, create compelling content, and deliver your message with your authentic presence. In addition, you can apply everything you learn to every conversation you have. Think about it; you talk all day, so numerous opportunities exist to practice and engage your listeners.

My job is to connect you to yourself and hone that connection so you can access it under pressure. You will learn to do what the world’s best communicators do; you will know how to loop with your listener neurologically. Your nervous system will relax, and your presence will be palpable, creating a compelling connection with your listener’s mind.

Together, we will release the best of you in the act of communication.

Instead of focusing on just getting your ideas out, you will know how to get your ideas into your listener's mind. I look forward to connecting with you.

Jo
